Twin Fin:

The Twin Fin are also known as retro boards, since they have the characteristic silhouette of surfing from the 70s. It is one of the Types of surfboards most recommended for people who have already traveled some distance in this sport, or who at least have an intermediate level. The most favorable conditions for it are low and medium waves, since in large ones they lose maneuverability. The design of these surfboards is made up of a wide center, a large nose and a light rocker, which gives us a large surface on which to float. When we use this type of board we are allowed to enter the water with low waves, without ever losing flotation or control of movements, thanks to its swallowtail. It is the ideal model to start doing tricks due to the ease of its rotation and its large surface, from which it is difficult to fall . However, it has a difficult paddle, and therefore, you will catch fewer waves in the day compared to other types of surfboards.

Shortboard:

Surfboards shortboard are characterized by their short length and width, just like the previous one. However, they offer you a better balance between speed and maneuverability, allowing surfing in large waves. The level necessary to use them properly is intermediate, since it is more difficult for beginners to take care of the movements on such a short board. Its edges are narrow, with a soft rocker to adapt to the critical parts of the waves. Of all the types of surfboards, if you choose a shortboard you will be able to reach the break without sinking. In addition, they are perfect for aerial maneuvers and snaps.

Evolutiva:

Without a doubt, evolutionary are the best types of surfboards for beginners. The reason is its large and thick silhouette, which provides you with excellent flotation in any type of swell. With these features it is easy to start getting up on the board from the first moment.Similarly, rowing with it is simple, thanks to its large wingspan in which to support the entire body. It will be much easier for you, once you have entered the wave, to control these types of surfboards and let yourself be carried by it.

Longboard:

The longboard is the largest type of surfboard, also known as planks. It is over 9 feet long with a large surface area to stay afloat. The ideal conditions for surfing with this type of board are low or medium waves, since due to their length, it is more difficult to maintain control in large waves. With the longboard you can do stunts different from those with the shortboard, appropriate to its size and which take time to master. One of the advantages of these types of surfboards is their high speed when paddling to get the next wave. However, due to its size it takes time to master, so it is suitable for intermediate level surfers.

Minimalibu:

The minimalibu are considered the younger sisters of longboards, because their characteristics are the same, the only thing that differentiates them at first glance is its size, a little smaller. This means they are designed to ride medium and low wave heights, an advantage on light wave days. They are excellent for paddling and are more manageable than longboards, therefore, it is an option to go one step beyond the evolutionary tables if you are a beginner. Additionally, these types of surfboards make it easier to perform the same stunts that are done with the larger ones if you are looking to master these types of surfing.

Gun:

Big wave surfers use types of surfboards called guns. Thanks to its elongated shape of the nose and tail, you will be able to achieve maximum acceleration. Its tapered design also ensures stability in fast waves and gives great response to the surfer’s movements for quick turns and stunts . It is the type of surfboard made of the most resistant materials and for this reason its price rises above the others. Likewise, they are aimed at people with a high level in this sport.

Stand Paddle:

The type of paddle surf boards are built for surfing standing up, a very different modality from the previous cases. They are big like longboards, but thicker, since their objective is to increase buoyancy even in the smallest waves. The way to use it is to climb onto it, stay standing and move with the help of a flexible paddle, which serves to better manage the wave.It is a fun way to surf, as you do not need good weather to jump into the water. These are ideal for surfing on any occasion, even if there are no waves you will be able to climb them and maneuver in the water without difficulty.

Groms:

Type of surfboard to start with is the groms or boards for children, adapted to both their weight and their abilities. Its measurements are much shorter compared to a beginner board, but the possibility of buoyancy and handling are higher. It is the best option to introduce children to the world of Surfing.
